I admire and respect your courage, and commitment to a higher purpose. Your story hit me hard. As an older white male in America, I have been exposed to racism ,anti-Semitism and just plain meanness. Being white Anglo-Saxon, I have never experienced the racism which has been served up to you.

I have however, within the last 4 years, been subject to the kind of bitter root hatred you have had dished up.

Thank you Trump. I find the man to be one of the most venomous, putrid , bigoted /racist people ever. He is a person of the lie.

His 'death cult 'members move immediately to hatred, no brakes. The only thing necessary to earn their vitriol and rejection is to try and debunk any of their pet 'conspiracy theories.' Especially when it comes to BLM or any Civil rights principles. Truth and facts do not matter.

I have found what it feels like to be summarily judged and hated. Not based upon race. I still move freely among the population and have no real fear of the Police or, outright racist haters. They are so obvious. It's the closet haters and bigots. I find them when the conversation begins. I have a taste of what it may be like to be hated despite anything brought to the community, any empathy , accomplishments so on and so forth. I cannot possibly pretend to know what it is like to be a person of color, where I am an obvious target. I don't pretend that.

I do so regret that in the past, I have eased out of racist conversations. All the racist statements and, alleged racial 'jokes' which made me invariably uncomfortable. When I said nothing or , just walked away. I fear, we may not be able to alter this racist reality. I have chosen to oppose it, in any way I may. I'm sorry for my duplicity and weakness. I thank you for being so genuine and, so very human.
